Lori Felker/Various Artists - Bild Quilt dvd

"Bild Quilt ('Bild' meaning 'image' in German) is a DVD project celebrating the connection and interplay between sound and image. Inspired by the countless images stirred up and created by listening to instrumental or experimental music, this project is a personal experiment for the filmmaker and the musicians, a challenge offered to the viewer, and simply an ode to the visual potential of sound. The countless ideas and images which are the result of every and any sound or song we hear are compiled in the brain as memories and thoughts. When sorted and collected, a quilt is born, a final symphony of individual pieces."

Two-miunte tracks were solicited from the artists, with no qualifications made aside from that of duration. Using primarily the images that immediately came to mind upon hearing the sounds, Lori used a variety of media to create a visual accompaniment to the music. This dvd is the result.
